Originally from Virginia, Ellen Maroun moved to Georgia in 2006. She is licensed by the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy and licenced by the Virginia Board of Nursing in Massage Therapy.

 

She began practicing massage in 1997 and has received extensive training and certification in numerous massage modalities. She has a broad range of experience from providing spa services to working with professional athletes. A physician-trained, certified, medical massage therapist, Ellen has worked extensively with people who have complicated medical histories, chronic pain, injuries, and cancer survivors.

 

Ellen's passion for helping people shows in her dedication to study under nationally and internationally recognized authorities in their respective fields. This includes certification in lymphatic drainage from the Vodder School, the world's most extensive training. During her studies, she had the privilege of studying under the world's leading physician in lymphedema diagnosis and treatment.

She received training in the Kuroshova method of Russian sports/medical massage as the primary focus in massage school and studied privately with Muhammad Ali's massage therapist in sports massage.  

 

An award-winning massage therapist, Ellen has been an instructor since 2002, and has inspired many practicing therapists. She created the curriculum and was the lead instructor for the West Georgia Technical College Massage Therapy Training Program.
